We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations Support Specialist to assist with tax compliance and financial operations. This role is ideal for someone with a finance background and an interest in building a career in finance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee MSA postings and ensure compliance with company standards and MSA procedures.
  • Verify promotional goods invoices for complete and accurate supporting documentation.
  • Ensure VAT accuracy and completeness of printed ICO invoices.
  • Calculate and report lottery and cinema taxes; ensure proper supporting documentation is in place.
  • Verify environmental fee invoices and prepare related declarations for submission.
  • Prepare, submit, and track tax payment documents.
  • Issue MSR invoices (e.g., fixed asset sales) and support audit-related requests.
  • Act as SPOC for Fixed Assets Accounting—conduct monthly checks, supervise processes, ensure accurate physical inventory documentation, and assist with ICO transfers.
  • Prepare GL reconciliations, accounting reports, turnover and sundry debtor reconciliations.
  • Support the Accounting Manager with statutory reporting and year-end audit requirements.
  • Prepare Trial Balance (local and US formats) and ensure accurate year-end reconciliations.
  • Perform VAT compliance checks, WHT calculations, and sponsorship VAT assessments.
  • Ensure relocation invoices align with HR-verified reports.
  • Post journal entries and maintain proper documentation for ICO invoices.

Requirements / Skills

  • Degree in
    Finance, Accounting, Economics
    , or a related field.
  • Previous experience in
    basic accounting, taxation
    , or a related area is an advantage.
  • Strong interest in building a
    career in finance or accounting
    .
  • Good knowledge of
    Microsoft Excel
    and general computer proficiency.
  • Advanced level of English
    (both written and spoken).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive approach to learning.
