What you can expect

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mid-Level Accountant to join our team in Bucharest. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a proactive approach to financial operations. 

Responsibilities:

• Record journal entries and ensure accurate transaction posting
• Manage expense reports: booking, verification, and archiving
• Handle accounts payable: invoice posting, VAT checks, and documentation
• Prepare payment files and maintain prepayment schedules
• Maintain Fixed Assets Register and depreciation records
• Record and verify General Ledger entries
• Ensure correct tax treatment of expenses
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
• Update financial databases for accuracy and accessibility
• Support monthly and yearly closings
• Participate in audits and tax-related projects
• Provide guidance to colleagues on procedures and compliance

What makes you stand out

• University degree in Economics
• Minimum 4 years in accounting roles
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
• Familiarity with SAP or similar accounting software
• Fluent in English
