Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly driven and strategic
Business Group Manager
to lead the Surgical Division within a growing medical technology company. This role combines commercial leadership, national team development of six members, market strategy, and operational execution. The ideal candidate has experience in surgical or healthcare-related industries and a strong understanding of sales and marketing principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the achievement of sales and gross profit targets for the division, maintaining a strong focus on results and sustainable growth.
- Identify, evaluate, and capitalize on new market opportunities to expand the Surgical portfolio and strengthen the division's market position.
- Conduct comprehensive market mapping and client segmentation to inform and support targeted business development strategies.
- Lead and support the national team in the preparation of financial offers and tender documentation, ensuring compliance with established benchmarks and financial objectives.
- Oversee and analyze revenue and expenditure trends for the Surgical Business Unit, implementing corrective actions to ensure alignment with financial goals and the Progress Plan.
- Manage and optimize the division's marketing and operational budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximized return on investment.
- Provide direct support and guidance to team members in complex business scenarios, fostering a collaborative and solution-oriented environment.
- Mentor and integrate new team members, actively contributing to their onboarding and professional growth.
- Promote the continuous development and high performance of the Surgical team through coaching, feedback, and ongoing support.
- Successfully complete all required product training programs within the first year of employment to ensure a high level of technical and market expertise.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the medical or surgical device sector.
- Strong business acumen and ability to interpret financial indicators.
- Experience managing teams and leading commercial strategy.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of tender processes and healthcare procurement systems.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degrees are an advantage.
