In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Review, draft and negotiate procurement agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies and legal and ethical standards, with minimal direction, including:
o Respond to suppliers and procurement collaborators, considering vendor qualification documents and contractual requests;
o Draft appropriate contractual language to reflect the business interests and policies of the parties, while dealing with suppliers and customers. - Take the Contracts Lead role on less complex international and multi-BU project contracts;
- Take the Global Contracts Lead role on various accounts on more complex projects and frame agreements as experience develops;
- Work with suppliers, customers, members of the legal team and other Emerson collaborators to bring deals to closure;
- Analyze business, financial, and legal risks;
- Research information on existing agreements and contractual programs, assisting with analysis and compiling data for reports;
- Provide contract-related guidance to Procurement and Supply Chain representatives, Project Management and other stakeholders;
- Participate in the approval process to assist business owners in making informed decisions and secure appropriate approvals.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- A min of 2 years of work experience in a contracts-related role;
- Bachelor's Degree in Legal or a related field;
- Intermediate MS Office skills;
- Excellent oral and written English language skills;
- Experienced negotiation skills;
- Extensive knowledge of Contract law & principles;
- Commercial provisions such as warranty, liquidated damages/penalties, payment & freight terms, documentary credits and bank guarantees/sureties.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Completion of IACCM Contract and Commercial Management (CCM) Training Program to Practitioner Level strongly preferred;
- Other languages (German, Hungarian, Italian, etc.) are an advantage.
