Description
The client is a world-leading provider of telecommunication solutions to mobile & fixed network operators. GlobalLogic has a long and very successful partnership with this Company started back in 2002. GlobalLogic is building a team that will be responsible for a specific area – maintenance of products that are utilized by major US telecom operators.

Requirements
At least 5 years of hands-on experience with the following:

– Environment support, configuration, and troubleshooting

– Software configuration management (installation, data synchronization, troubleshooting, maintenance, 3PSW maintaining and patching)

– Oracle DB Administration (installation, upgrade, conversion, consolidation, migration)

– Linux OS Administration, installation, and upgrade

– Product Installation guides creation

– Hands-on experience in Automation (Bash Shell /Python)

– Working knowledge of WebSphere MQ or similar queue managers

– Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills

– Good level of verbal and written communication in English

– Great communication skills, client-facing, and team collaboration are essential for this role

– Experience in Telecom and networking will be a plus

– Knowledge of database encryption technologies will be a plus

Job responsibilities

Knowledge acquisition:
– Proactively learn the assigned product to the smallest details, and become an expert in the product

– Integrate into the product team

Environment configuration:
– Be in charge of maintaining Environments (server, database machines, GUI machines)

– Monitor and troubleshoot the environment's health

– Troubleshoot customers' environment issues (if any)

– Update environments, create new environments

– Run builds

– Create and install patches

– Track updates and manage third-party software and licensing of the product

– Documentation: Develop Installation Guide, Technical operations environment, Disaster Recovery plan, etc.

Installation:
– Develop Product installation guides

– Create and/or modify installation code/scripts

– Troubleshoot customers' Installation & Deployment issues

– Installation, upgrades, and environment issues (internal and Customer)

– Provide on-call support

Oracle DB Developer/Administrator:
– Maintain a deep understanding of product application Database table structures/schema, interfaces, and interactions with all processes to enable troubleshooting customer or internal issues

– Database Administration, Database Installation, Database upgrade, Database Conversion, Database consolidation (if needed), Database migration (Linux to Linux, HP to Linux )

– Maintaining database environments internally

– Contribute to installation scripts for database creation
