The SAP Finance Technology Team, part of MassMutual's Corporate Technology organization seeks an experienced SAP Finance Configuration expert having background in core Finance modules including General Ledger and Group Reporting in S/4HANA as well as foundational knowledge of ECC 6.0 similar modules to join a team who is undergoing a Finance System Transformation Program and simultaneously supporting our legacy SAP ECC FICO application.

Goal: Develop highly performing applications in support of an S/4HANA Finance Implementation while assisting with production SAP ECC Finance system. Our S/4HANA Release 1 is focused on General Ledger, rule-based Group Reporting and the Financial Product Subledger (FPSL) used as a detailed accounting transaction 'pass-through' for summarized accounting in GL. Future releases will include Fixed Assets, Financial Asset Management (FAM), Consumer Mortgage Loans (CML), Project Systems and other modules.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in configuring S/4 HANA Group Reporting using the Rule Based method, delivering results for consolidations, eliminations and reporting
  • Support S/4 HANA configuration deliverables and project defect remediation for General Ledger (Ledgers, Allocations, Posting Period Calendar, Open Item Management, FX revaluation and translation, etc.)
  • As needed, support our Financial Product Subledger (FPSL) Technical Lead with configuration, unit testing and defect remediation.
  • Collaborate with Finance and IT project team resources to deliver results within the program timeline, assisting other colleagues on deliverables as priorities arise.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of technical documentation, training and user guides
  • Assume ownership of some SAP ECC (R/3) service requests in support of production functionality for configuration with guidance on unfamiliar modules by BAU support team.
  • Report on the status of deliverables to project management or SAP ECC technical leads.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations or support. 5+ years overall SAP Finance configuration.
  • Experience designing, configuring and implementing Group Reporting solutions on S/4HANA is ideal.
  • Possesses a working understanding of native integration between the S/4HANA General Ledger and Group Reporting modules
  • Solid understanding of the SAP S/4HANA database structures in General Ledger and Group Reporting to assist the CDS View and SAC Story developers is a plus
  • Ability to trouble-shoot issues within the GL and GR modules in S/4HANA and ECC 6.0 Finance modules
  • A solid understanding of Romania Accounting Practices is a plus
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work well in a team-based environment as well as on their own
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and shift priorities as needed to meet program deadlines and production requirements
  • Ability to quickly research and identify defect resolutions during various project test phases
