Job Description

Part of Coface Group, Coface Technologies is an excellence software development center opened in Bucharest, located in Globalworth Plaza (Aurel Vlaicu), and a key driver in the technology field, aimed to position Coface Group as the most agile global trade-credit partner in the industry.

As a member of the Data Office team, the Data Quality Expert plays a key role in maximizing the potential of data for Coface and its customers. Reporting to the Head of Data Quality Management, the Data Quality Expert ensures that data is accurate, consistent, and reliable across the organization. The role involves hands-on analysis of data quality issues, some abilities to lead transversally in engaging with business and technical stakeholders, and proactive contributions to improving data quality processes, documentation, and tools.

What you will do:

• Analyze and identify data quality issues across various domains and contribute to their resolution in collaboration with business and IT teams.

• Define and apply data quality rules, monitor KPIs, and document controls to ensure continuous improvement.

• Support the implementation and maintenance of the data quality framework and related tools (such as Collibra, DUCO, and SAS Guide).

• Participate in data cleaning and enrichment initiatives to enhance the value and usability of company data.

• Contribute to the data documentation effort (metadata, definitions, quality indicators) in the Data Directory and ensure its availability to internal stakeholders.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts and regional data correspondents to raise awareness and foster a data quality culture.

• Support the animation of the data community through participation in meetings, workshops, and data governance forums.

• Support internal and external audits related to data quality.

• Contribute to the expansion of data quality coverage to additional domains if needed by implementing governance, documentation, and indicators

Qualifications

• + 5 years of experience in Data Quality or Data Management.

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail, rigor, and problem-solving.

• Proficiency in SAS (Base, Guide), Excel, and SQL (advanced level).

• Familiarity with Collibra and DUCO tools is a plus.

• Good knowledge of data governance, data dictionaries, and data control frameworks.

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

• Fluency in English is essential.

• Knowledge of insurance and Solvency II is appreciated.

• Strong writing skills and interpersonal qualities to work collaboratively with international teams.

• Experience in project management or coordination of cross functional initiatives is a plus.
