Our client has an exciting position available for an experienced and highly organized Office Manager to lead the establishment and operational management of a nearshore service centre in Romania.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in office management, project coordination, team leadership, and will demonstrate exceptional people skills.
This role will involve overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving performance metrics to achieve business goals. This role will be the lead Abtran representative in Iasi working very closely with and reporting to senior management in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
- Lead the setup and operational launch of the call centre including facility management.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure a smooth startup process, in conjunction with project management in Ireland.
2. Office Operations:
- Develop and implement office policies, procedures, and best practices.
3. Team Leadership:
- Support the recruitment and training process and the management of a diverse team of call centre agents and support staff.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment that encourages employee engagement and retention through strong people skills.
4. Performance Monitoring:
- Understand the importance of key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational delivery and support the operations team in delivery of same.
- Have a good understanding of what success looks like for the Proof of concept phase and future plans
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement to enhance team performance and service quality.
5. Client Relations:
- Support Operations in hosting clients and managing any on site client concerns or issues in a timely manner.
6. HR Management:
- Utilize knowledge of local HR practices to develop effective recruitment, retention, and employee development strategies.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and HR regulations to foster a fair and compliant work environment.
7. Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Assist in the development and management of the call center budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Monitor and report on financial performance and operational efficiency.
8. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field;
- Proven experience in office management or operational leadership, preferably in a call centre or customer service environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and call centre management software.
- Thorough knowledge of local HR practices and labor laws in Romania
- Has strong local knowledge with an established business network in Iasi
- Fluency in English is must
