Senior Trade Operation

Are you an Operations & Logistics Manager seeking a challenging and exciting role, in a dynamic and successful multinational trading business?

We are currently looking for a Senior Trade Operation /Logistics Manager based in Bucharest Romania.

Quadra Commodities International is a grain, oilseeds, vegetable oil, ocean freight trading and trade finance company. We are made up of experienced traders in wheat, corn, soya beans, sugar, ocean freight, logistics, and trade finance. We are headquartered in Geneva Switzerland, and we assist our customers globally.

What will be expected of you?

·      Contracts: General knowledge of a diverse list of agricultural commodities, products and their governing contracts. Responsible of contracts being issued/sent/signed/files in time aligned with internal processes in place.

·      Issue/review orders to suppliers, recognize logistical needs of customers and internal personnel and understand the coordination needed to ensure documentation flow to meet the needs of contract execution.

·      Collaborate with merchandisers, logistics and accounting teams, to ensure contracts are set up properly, thereby assuring accuracy and consistency in contract execution.

·      Responsible for origination proper delivery of goods to the port, manage port logistics with local person, follow up of stocks, planning of the vessels based on physical position + chartering of the barges/vessels.

·     Be that team-player with strong communication skills, both written and verbal with willingness to bring the know how in the team to the next level. Guiding by example

·      Build rapport with other Quadra offices maintaining positive relationships to establish successful contract execution between inter-company offices and profit centers.

·      Understand the use of compliance tools andregulations such as ISCC , GTP Plus etc.

·      Managing team (as well as hands on with own files) to make sure the timely and accurate processing of customer invoices, full set of comments with suppliers, buyers, banks under CAD/LC or other payment terms.

·      Maintain and control open position with origination suppliers, make sure that all the cargo is sent to us in time and compliant with contractual conditions.

·      Ensure payment follow-up with the buyers and oversee/prepare timely finalisations.

·      Proactively anticipate potential execution issues that may arise and work on solutions as

required.

·      Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

What are the requirements?

· Diploma/degree, preferably with specialization in logistics/supply chain/operations.

· Strong Experience (7 years +) in commodity contract execution in the grain trading sector, documentary requirements/flows, and optimization of documentary flows.

· Strong experience in origination, port logistics, managing stocks as well as deep understanding of export documents, letters of credit, CAD, logistics, global shipping, incoterms and supply chain procedures in our industry.

· Able to work independently.

· Enjoying a fast-paced environment, while meeting short deadlines and rearranging priorities accordingly.

· Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

· Fluent in both written and spoken English / Romanian.

· Proactive and able to identify potential problems and solve them effectively.

· Hands-on. Able to work in a small team and to support other colleagues as required.
