Role Description:

The Portfolio & Trade Lifecycle Technologies (PTT) team is seeking a skilled Business Analyst with energy trading expertise. As an external consultant, responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and documenting business requirements
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and the development team
  • Supporting design, implementation, and quality assurance of software solutions
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed requirements analysis for new and existing software projects in the energy trading sector.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including traders, business managers, and IT teams, to gather and document business and functional requirements.
  • Develop clear and concise business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and use cases.
  • Work closely with the software development team to translate requirements into high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations.
  • Consult the development and implementation of testing strategies to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Facilitate communication and ensure alignment between business users and technical teams.
  • Participate in project planning, review meetings, and provide regular progress updates.
  • Consult the Product Owner in managing the backlog.
Required Competencies:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in business analysis methods and tools
  • Familiarity with SDLC and agile practices
  • Expertise in energy trading and regulations
  • Self-driven, team-oriented, and organized
  • Confident in tools like Azure, JIRA, Confluence
  • Able to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality
