Overall Purpose of the Job:

The
Manufacturing Process Improvement Manager
will provide comprehensive documentation of production processes, manufacturing technologies and implement continuous improvement strategies to increase efficiency, quality and safety. Line management with direct responsibility for optimising, organising and where necessary developing the internal system of technical training for colleagues (mainly front line production staff).

Responsibilities:

• In-depth understanding of all production processes through direct on-site analysis and active collaboration with the teams involved;
• Ensures complete and up-to-date documentation of the processes and technologies used in the production flow, from the receipt of materials to the delivery of the finished product with a focus on the actual production steps, in collaboration with all departments involved (purchasing, warehouse, quality, planning, project management, design, etc. ) to ensure reliability and coherence of data;
• Carrying out audits of each position within the production department in order to identify and document the technical and operational competences required to carry out specific activities;
• Developing technical training programmes, customised according to the requirements of each production function and the level of experience of the personnel;
• Organising and supporting internal technical training sessions, tailored to all levels involved in production (operators, technicians, coordinators), in order to develop professional skills and ensure standardisation of knowledge and working practices;
• Process improvement strategies development and implementation, applying tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Gemba Walks, etc.;
• Developing and analysing KPIs to monitor implemented improvements and propose new actions;
• Collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, design, project management and quality departments to optimise technological flows;
• Preparing regular reports on the progress of improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Education: completed technical university degree (preferably in industrial engineering, mechanics, mechatronics or related fields);
• Solid experience,
  min. 15 years in industrial manufacturing or process engineering
  , of which
  at least 5 years with direct hands-on responsibility in the concrete application of continuous improvement methodologies
  (such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen or similar), with demonstrable results in optimising processes and increasing operational efficiency;
• Certifications
  : Lean and/or Six Sigma certifications (Green Belt or equivalent) - is a strong asset;
• Good knowledge in using
  ERP software
  (e.g. Oracle/ AsisRIA/ SAP/ Navision) and
  technical documentation management

• Fluent in English
  , both written and spoken.

• Knowledge and skills:

• Highly skilled use of process analysis tools: e.g. Value Stream Mapping, 5S, DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis, Visual Control Methods, etc.
• Data analysis and interpretation of performance indicators such as Takt Time, Lead Time, FPY (e.g. post-instruction), etc.
• Experience documenting processes clearly and coherently for training and compliance purposes.
• Excellent communication skills, informal leadership and training for multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive attitude, systemic mindset and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-organised and results-oriented with a focus on measurable results.
