About the Job

We are looking for a
Supplier Quality Technician
to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and improving the quality of components and materials delivered by our suppliers.

You will work closely with our Quality, Procurement, and Engineering departments to ensure compliance with technical specifications and support supplier development.

Your Role

You will be responsible for conducting incoming inspections, managing non-conformities, supporting supplier qualifications, and monitoring supplier performance. By working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you'll drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply Busch Value System and promote safety and environmental responsibility
  • Perform incoming inspections of components and raw materials using precision measurement tools
  • Create and maintain control plans and inspection instructions
  • Identify, document, and manage non-conformities; initiate and follow up supplier complaints (NCRs/SCARs)
  • Implement containment and corrective actions, collaborating with suppliers on root cause analysis and CAPA
  • Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and quality scorecards; analyze data and support improvement plans
  • Assist in supplier qualification, requalification, and conduct quality audits; track audit action plans
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of supplier quality documentation and maintain traceability
  • Support Engineering Change Notification (ECN) processes by assessing supplier impact
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Procurement, Engineering, and Production teams on supplier quality issues
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, defect analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma projects related to external quality
  • Participate in pre-series and prototype evaluations for new suppliers or components
  • Prepare audit reports and follow-up documentation to support supplier development

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier quality or a related field
  • Mechanical background
  • Proficient in using measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
  • Understanding of technical drawings and GD&T
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality standards
  • Experience with problem-solving tools (5 Why, Pareto, Fishbone, 8D)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of CMM programming and measurement strategy
  • Experience with SPC or Lean / Six Sigma projects
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Team player with good communication and structured approach
