Operational Purchasing Specialist

Overall Purpose of the Job:

The
operational purchasing specialist
is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and purchasing the materials, equipment, and technical components necessary for the company's projects—the production of ambulances and special intervention vehicles—ensuring that they comply with technical specifications, delivery deadlines, and allocated budgets. He/she work closely with technical departments to support the efficient execution of purchasing activities.

Responsibilities:

• Identifies supply requirements in collaboration with technical departments (e.g., project management, design, technical sales, production);
• Verifies the technical specifications of orders received and reports any discrepancies before orders are placed;
• Uses the ERP system (AsisRIA) on a daily basis to launch, track, and update orders;
• Continuously updates the product nomenclature in ERP, including photos, delivery times, and other necessary information;
• Ensures the sourcing of raw materials, consumables, and equipment in accordance with technical standards and requirements;
• Organizes intra-community transport of goods, taking into account load capacity, availability, and profitability, within the available budget;
• Monitors the status of orders and deliveries, promptly informs the direct superior and project manager in writing about any delays and proposes solutions to remedy them;
• Conducts market research to identify new or alternative suppliers;
• Evaluates and selects suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability criteria;
• Negotiates contracts and commercial terms in collaboration with the legal department and line manager;
• Analyzes supplier performance (quality, costs, delivery, services) and proposes optimization measures;
• Identifies and proposes measures to eliminate losses and variations within the supply chain;
• Verify, together with warehouse colleagues, the goods reception processes; when identifying any quantitative or qualitative non-conformities, notify the project manager and the supplier;
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize stocks and reduce costs, while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements:

• Completed higher education
  (preferably with a background in engineering, economics, administrative sciences, or similar);
• Relevant
  experience in a similar role
  (technical or industrial purchasing) –
  min. 3 years
  , preferably in a manufacturing environment;
• Good knowledge of technical specifications, industrial components and equipment;
• Knowledge and experience working with an
  ERP system
  (ideally: AsisRIA);
• Good knowledge of
  MS Office, especially Excel
  ;
• Good knowledge in using
  ERP software
  (e.g. Oracle/ AsisRIA/ SAP/ Navision) and
  technical documentation management
• Fluent in English
  , both written and spoken.
