Job Title: Backoffice Engineer (English and German speaking)

Location: Timisoara, Romania (Hybrid – 3 days/week from office)

Contract Type: 1-Year Fixed Term

Job Description

We are seeking a Backoffice Engineer to join our team in Timisoara. This role involves network monitoring, troubleshooting, fault management, and support for service provider infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong NOC/SOC experience, advanced English and German language skills, and a solid understanding of networking concepts.

General Requirements (Must Have):

  • Hands-on experience in NOC/SOC with good understanding of SLAs and KPIs
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and ticketing tools
  • Understanding of service provider architecture/infrastructure
  • Language Skills: English (C1-C2), German (B2)
  • Self-driven with strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly

Specific Requirements (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with Linux
  • Knowledge of FTTx and xDSL (VDSL, Vectoring) networks
  • Familiarity with Optical networks/WDM (access, transport)
  • Understanding of MPLS/IP
  • Experience with Nokia SR, Nokia OLT, Nokia DSLAM
  • Knowledge of AAA, Firewalls, Microwave technology (preferably Ceragon)
  • Strong grasp of TCP/IP stack & protocols (Ethernet, BGP, ISIS, MPLS, L2-L3 VPN)
  • Scripting/automation skills (Bash, Python)

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve minor, major, and critical alarms
  • Create, manage, and resolve incident tickets in line with SLAs
  • Perform fault management and troubleshooting
  • Plan, create, and implement change requests/tickets
  • Provide remote support to on-site technicians for troubleshooting and repairs
  • Monitor and report network performance
  • Integrate, configure, and maintain network elements and services
  • Maintain accurate and updated documentation

Pay: 120,000.00RON - 150,000.00RON per year
