Senior Technical Analyst – General Ledger Systems Migration

We are looking for a highly experienced
Technical Analyst
to support the migration of a General Ledger (GL) platform from a legacy environment to a modern, scalable architecture. This position requires a strong mix of
financial system knowledge
and
technical expertise
across integration, data pipelines, and Oracle PL/SQL. You will be a key player in ensuring smooth data migration, adapting feeder and consumer applications, and supporting post-migration activities.

As part of our projects in the
financial services industry
, you will help shape modern GL platforms and integration frameworks, bringing innovative solutions and forward-looking ideas to complex environments.

This is a
hybrid role
: you will work
2 days per week from our office location in Bucharest
and the remaining days remotely from home.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze the existing GL system, covering data models, chart of accounts, accounting rules, and Oracle PL/SQL packages
• Collaborate with finance and technology teams to capture requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications and designs
• Redesign and enhance interfaces (APIs, messaging, file-based) to connect GL with upstream and downstream applications, including payments, lending, reconciliation, and other financial systems
• Lead the mapping and migration of financial data from legacy systems to new GL platforms, including historical balances and active transactions
• Refactor custom Oracle procedures and packages into service-oriented or cloud-ready components
• Ensure feeder and consumer systems are aligned with the new GL data structures and accounting logic
• Work closely with reconciliation teams to ensure posting logic, interfaces, and data flows support accurate reconciliation processes
• Contribute to solution design using modern principles such as APIs, microservices, event-driven workflows, and containerized services
• Document integration flows, data models, and technical specifications, supporting Agile delivery cycles including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and system testing

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Finance Technology, Information Systems, or related field
• 10+ years of experience as a Technical Analyst, Integration Analyst, or Systems Analyst in financial services or complex enterprise environments
• Proven track record in
  General Ledger migrations
  and financial integration projects
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL (packages, procedures, financial batch processes)
• Good understanding of payment transactions and accounting logic at a transactional level
• Expertise in integration technologies (APIs, messaging, file-based exchanges)
• Ability to document requirements and produce solution diagrams, data models, and functional specifications
• Familiarity with ETL tools and big data pipelines for large-scale financial datasets
• Exposure to modern ERP or GL systems (e.g., Oracle Cloud)
• Knowledge of architectural concepts such as microservices, event-driven systems, and API gateways
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or similar), and tools such as Kafka
• Understanding of data governance, regulatory reporting, and financial controls
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to bridge between business and technology teams
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
• Proficiency with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and diagramming tools , PlantUML)
