You'll join the
Data Platform Squad
— a cross-functional team of Data Engineers, an Analytics Engineer, and a Data Scientist, powering analytics, reporting, and data science across the company.

What You'll Do

As a
Data Engineer
, you'll:

  • Build and maintain reliable
    data ingestion pipelines
    from multiple internal and external sources
  • Collaborate with software engineers on
    scheduled or event-driven data flows
  • Help shape and maintain our
    AWS Athena lakehouse
    using dbt and SQL
  • Ensure datasets remain
    fast, accurate, and consistent
  • Contribute to
    system testing
    , ensuring new functionalities meet requirements

You'll work in Scrum alongside the senior Data Engineer, supported by a dedicated Product Owner who handles prioritisation and coordination.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Strong SQL skills and basic familiarity with AWS (S3, Glue Catalog, Athena, Lambda, or Kinesis Firehose)
  • Interest in data lake/warehouse architecture and columnar formats (e.g. Parquet)
  • Clear communication and ability to collaborate across teams
  • Structured approach to documentation and naming conventions
  • Proactive mindset, eagerness to automate and improve processes

Desirable

  • Exposure to dbt for data transformations
  • Understanding of event-driven data flows
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, CloudFormation or other IaC tools
  • Basic scripting with Python or Bash
