Blue Projects is seeking a Business Development Manager to support its expanding global presence in the industrial sector. This role is ideal for a creative and strategic marketing professional looking to make an impact within a fast-growing consulting firm.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible to support business growth in global industrial engineering, project management and consulting services by driving lead generation, strengthening client relationships and supporting strategic tendering and market positioning.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Lead Qualification & Pipeline Management
  • Identify, research and qualify new prospects in target markets (industrial, FMCG, pharma, heavy industry, logistics, etc.).
  • Build and maintain the sales pipeline using CRM tools; track progress and forecast opportunities.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales funnel metrics and recommend strategic initiatives for penetration into French-speaking markets and broader global regions.

Tender & Proposal Support

  • Lead and coordinate full-cycle tender preparation and submission (RFP/RFQ/RFI): scoping, drafting responses, coordinating technical inputs and pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and client requirements and deadlines

Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to identify trends and opportunities in the engineering and project delivery space.
  • Monitor competitor positioning, pricing strategies and business models to inform bid strategy and value propositions.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and new clients — particularly French-speaking markets and stakeholders.
  • Act as key point of contact for pre-sales engagement, post-proposal follow-ups as account management activities

Marketing & Brand Positioning

Content & Collateral

  • Draft and maintain high-impact commercial content (capability statements, case studies, presentations, bid decks, French language materials where needed).
  • Collaborate with internal experts to create thought leadership pieces and project success stories.

Digital & Demand Generation

  • Support digital marketing campaigns (LinkedIn, mailers, events) to generate awareness and leads.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with business partners, vendors, and media

  • Work closely with:

  • Technical delivery teams (engineering, project management) to ensure consistent messaging and delivery feasibility.

  • Commercial & Procurement for coordination of offer pricing, terms, and contract clauses.
  • Regional leadership to align market strategy with company priorities.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field

Minimum of 3 years of related experience, with a strong focus on tender administration

Strong project management and organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Fluency in English and French (mandatory).

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Experience with SALESFORCE software and SAP is an advantage

Availability for local and occasional international business travel when required

Agility and flexibility to meet client deadlines—sometimes outside normal office hours.

Ability to facilitate decision-making in situations of ambiguity.
