IMSAT
is looking for an experienced
Electrical Design Engineer
to join our team in Bucharest. We're seeking a technically skilled professional with an educational background in Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnics, or Automation.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing electrical systems and equipment required for integration into industrial installations, playing an active part in all design phases. What will you be doing?

Design electrical schematics, perform circuit sizing, and select appropriate components and equipment;

Design power distribution panels, control cabinets, and automation systems;

Prepare execution details and supporting documentation (technical reports, datasheets, etc.);

Develop wiring diagrams for field devices (motors, sensors, instrumentation);

Evaluate technical offers from suppliers of components and assemblies;

Conduct site visits for surveys and inspections of ongoing works;

Provide technical support during installation and participate in technical assessments.

What we're looking for:

University degree in a technical field – Power Engineering, Electrotechnics, Electrical Engineering, or Automation (Polytechnic University preferred);

Proficiency in MS Office, EPLAN, and AutoCAD 2D;

Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design;

Proven experience in electrical panel design and manufacturing of control and command systems;

Familiarity with electrical calculation software (e.g., SIMARIS, CANECO, ECODIAL, ETAP);

Knowledge of process instrumentation and industrial control systems;

Experience supervising worksites, especially in industrial environments;

Hands-on experience with electrical system commissioning;

Willingness to travel (domestically and internationally);

Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to synthesize complex information;

Organized, detail-oriented, and team-focused.

Nice to have:

Knowledge of ETAP electrical calculation software;

Experience in designing automation systems (control panels with PLCs and I/Os);

Background in medium-voltage systems and network studies;

Familiarity with 3D documentation or BIM modeling tools;

Relevant certifications (ATEX, SIL, ANRE);

Authorized as a Design Verifier or RTE (Technical Responsible Person);

Experience in international projects;

Proficiency in German or French.
