This role is with ARRISE.

The 3D Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of electrical systems within 3D models. This role requires a combination of electrical engineering expertise and advanced proficiency in 3D modeling software. The designer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that electrical designs meet all project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed 3D models of electrical systems and components using CAD software.
  • Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
  • Conduct simulations and analyses to validate the performance and safety of electrical designs.
  • Optimize designs for efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for electrical designs.
  • Maintain accurate records of design iterations and modifications.
  • Work with mechanical engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
  • Provide technical support during the manufacturing and installation phases.
  • Assist in the development and testing of prototypes to validate design concepts.
  • Make necessary adjustments based on prototype feedback and testing results.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Continuously improve design processes and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on 3D modeling and design.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit).
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and circuit design.
  • Experience with simulation tools such as ANSYS, MATLAB, or similar.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications are a plus.
