We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Bucharest, Romania. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, incorporating a combination of both in-office and remote working schedules. Our team provides a wide range of engineering services including industrial process (Oil & Gas, petrochemical). We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to develop within and further the technical skills we bring to our new and existing client base. Qualified candidates will have a familiarity with design aspects for heavy industrial clients.

Job Description

Here is what you will do:

• Electrical Installations Design:
  Contribute to the design and planning of electrical systems for a variety of projects, including buildings, water treatment stations, oil & gas and other industrial facilities.
• Electrical Calculations:
  Perform essential electrical calculations for systems such as lighting, power distribution, and emergency power systems under supervision.
• 3D BIM Modeling:
  Assist in creating 3D BIM models using Revit, ensuring all designs meet required standards.
• Technical Input:
  Provide technical input on studies and design tasks related to electrical engineering
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
  Participate in team reviews and contribute to the integration of various engineering disciplines into comprehensive project designs.
• Quality Assurance:
  Support the review and quality control of electrical design documents, drawings, and calculations.
• Technical Specifications:
  Preparing technical specification for electrical systems elements.
• Project Support:
  Help in developing project schedules and budgets, ensuring adherence to timelines and cost estimates.
• Uses computer software
  as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

Qualifications

Here's what we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical design, preferably for industrial projects, for international clients
• Familiarity with engineering modeling/drafting software.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred:

• Experience with Revit MEP and/or AutoCAD 3D
• Understanding of Common Data Environment platforms (e.g., BIM 360, ACC).
• Exposure to clash detection software.
• Basic knowledge of BIM coordination processes.
