We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced o9 Demand Planning Transformation Manager to join our o9 Demand Planning Transformation Team within Mondelez Europe (MEU). This is a critical role responsible for driving the transformation of our Demand Planning processes, leveraging technology, data, and advanced analytics to enable best-in-class planning capabilities. This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of demand planning within Mondelēz Europe, with a strong focus on the successful implementation and adoption of our new o9 planning platform and driving a data/fact-based, machine learning-driven approach. The ideal candidate is a proactive and forward-thinking individual with a passion for leveraging technology to drive business growth.

How you will contribute

You will:

Transformation Leadership:

  • Act as a change agent, driving the adoption of new demand planning processes, technologies, and data-driven decision-making across the MEU region.

  • Identify and champion opportunities to optimize and improve the end-to-end demand planning process, from statistical forecasting to collaborative planning.

  • Lead and support cross-functional teams in the design, development, and implementation of demand planning solutions.

o9 Implementation & Adoption:

  • Play a key role in the successful deployment and adoption of the o9 planning platform across the MEU region.

  • Collaborate with MDS, business stakeholders, and the x-functional o9 implementation team to ensure the system meets business requirements and delivers expected benefits.

  • Develop and deliver training programs to enable users to effectively utilize the o9 platform, specifically within the Demand Planning, Integrated Business Planning and supporting modules.

  • Monitor o9 system performance and identify areas for optimization related to Demand Planning.

Demand Analytics & Machine Learning:

  • Drive the development and implementation of advanced demand analytics capabilities, including machine learning-based forecasting models.

  • Work with data science teams to identify and leverage relevant data sources to improve forecast accuracy and reduce bias within demand forecasts.

  • Champion the application of AI and ML techniques to forecasting and business planning, driving simplification, no touch, and fact-based discussions.

  • Promote a data-driven culture within the Demand Planning organization, encouraging the use of data and analytics in decision-making.

Process Optimization & Standardization:

  • Define and document new standardized processes for Forecasting, Demand Analytics, Seasonal & NPD Planning, and related steps of Integrated Business Planning, ensuring alignment with global best practices.

  • Identify and eliminate process inefficiencies, streamlining workflows and improving overall effectiveness within the demand planning function and in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance and other partnering functions.

  • Develop and maintain process documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures specifically for demand planning.

Capability Building & Training:

  • Assess the current demand planning capabilities within the MEU region and identify areas for improvement.

  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of demand planning professionals.

  • Mentor and coach team members to develop their expertise in forecasting, integrated business planning and advanced analytics.

Data Management & Governance:

  • Collaborate with data governance team to ensure the quality and integrity of data used in demand planning processes. Develop market specific data quality and data process gap-closing roadmaps and drive implementation and handover for data integration and for BAU data management.

  • Define and implement data standards and policies to ensure consistency and accuracy of demand planning data.

  • Promote the use of data visualization tools and techniques to improve data accessibility and understanding within the Demand Planning team.

Technical Partnership:

  • Partner with Mondelēz Digital Services (MDS) on the design, build, training, testing, and implementation of the o9 platform.

  • Provide business insights and requirements to MDS to ensure the system meets user needs.

  • Communication & Presentation:

  • Create and deliver compelling presentations to a variety of audiences, including planners, managers, CSL and MSC leads, commercial and finance business partners, and executive leadership.

  • Effectively summarize complex analytical findings into clear and concise insights, tailored to the audience.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Demand Planning, strong understanding of Demand Planning principles and best practices.

  • Minimum 8 years business experience across supply chain, finance, or commercial with strong business acumen and good end-to-end understanding of related processes,

  • including Order-to-Cash, Demand Fulfillment, Revenue Growth Management, and Commercial Planning & Activation.

  • Proven experience in leading and implementing business process transformations preferred.

  • Experience with o9 planning software solutions implementation on the business side preferred, including statistical forecasting techniques and machine learning algorithms.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify actionable insights to improve demand forecasts.

  • Excellent presentation creation and delivery skills, with the ability to effectively summarize complex analytical findings in simple and understandable formats for various audiences, including planners, managers, CSL/MSC leads, commercial and finance partners, and executive reviews.

  • Strong technical understanding, enabling effective partnership with MDS on design, build, training, testing, and implementation.

  • A proactive and forward-thinking mindset with a passion for leveraging technology, particularly AI and ML, to improve business outcomes and drive data-driven decision-making.

  • Experience working in the European market is a plus.
