OSS Assurance Engineer

About This Role
As an OSS Assurance Engineer within the Networks department, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing Network Management Information Systems for external clients across European Vodafone Operating Companies. Your focus will be on developing IT systems that enable effective monitoring of telecom and IP networks, while also consolidating domain-specific IT systems to enhance service assurance capabilities.

What You Will Do

• Design the Service Assurance Software Architecture, including principles, functional blocks, and interfaces
• Develop tailored IT solutions for each external Vodafone Operating Company, covering application software, hardware, operating systems, and data warehousing
• Collaborate with external clients to test applications and ensure alignment with their operational needs
• Define and execute validation activities, including test lists and plans, in partnership with local Vodafone OpCos
• Deliver high-level and low-level design specifications, test plans, and integration reports
• Ensure consistency and coherence in software solutions delivered to external clients

What Skills You Need

• Deep understanding of IT and network technologies within the telecommunications domain
• Proficiency in IT development frameworks and domain-specific software tools
• Experience across the software development lifecycle
• Strong communication skills in English and Romanian
• Solid grasp of IT technologies, standards, and design frameworks
• Familiarity with network topologies and standards
• Hands-on experience in IT software roles related to network monitoring
• Experience in both IT development and operations
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, or Physics
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience

• Desirable Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in a related field

• Certifications such as ITIL, eTOM, PRINCE2, PMI, TOGAF
