Finance Manager

The Finance Manager for the Cluj Hub is a key member of the Measurement Solutions Finance team and reports to the Measurement Systems and Services Europe Finance Manager (MSS), and with a operational reporting line to the MSS Cluj Operations Manager. 
The essential purpose of this position is to financially manage and control the manufacturing facility for the Measurement Systems Solutions Center in Cluj, and as a member of the group management team to support the MSS Europe Finance Manager in the financial management, control and forecasting and planning of the European Systems and Business.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Manages all aspects of the local Cluj finance team workload organizes allocation of tasks, overseas the effectiveness and accuracy of the team's work, provides coaching and supports the team. 
• Prepares and submits the site-level financial statements in US GAAP in collaboration with the Cluj finance team, ensuring compliance with Emerson Accounting policies and certifying their accuracy.
• Works closely with European Operations and Cluj finance teams to develop and analyze the Cluj Hub Annual Budget and periodic reviews (Full P&L, Asset Management, Headcount).
• Establishes appropriate absorption rates and provides utilization analysis for MSS Systems Europe.
• Actively supports internal, external, and tax audits, ensuring strong internal controls in line with statutory and Emerson policies.
• Develops and delivers routine and ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as required by European and Global Operations and Finance Groups, focusing on orders, sales, and profitability.
• Drives continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with the MSS Finance Manager, emphasizing process standardization and best practices
• Presents financial results and key profit drivers to European and Global Measurement Solutions Leadership.
• Manages 2 Finance team members based in Cluj, Romania.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Fluent English language skills, verbal, reading and writing;
• Relevant University Degree – Finance & Business preferred;
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze at both high and detailed levels.
• Experience of variance analysis and budgeting/forecasting;
• Experience of dealing with statutory audits and compliance; 
• Working knowledge of Romanian and US or IFRS GAAP;
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Skills;

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Other European Languages are an advantage.
• Certification CIMA, ACCA, ACA  are an advantage.   
• Knowledge of Oracle and HFM preferred.
