Role Summary:

Reporting to the Director Engineering Workforce Strategy Transformation, the PMO Manager is responsible for leading the PMO & governance function for the Workforce Strategy Programme and subordinate programmes across Engineering reporting into the Chief Technology and Operating Office.

The PMO Manager will be responsible for embedding governance best practice and driving the maturity of processes, while ensuring the portfolios remain closely aligned to the LSEG Change Framework, toolsets and divisional governance as required.

Working closely with programme and project teams, the Engineering leadership team and wider LSEG stakeholders, the PMO Manager will ensure projects across the portfolios are supported and that obstacles to the successful delivery of the constituent projects are identified and removed.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Act as a recognised expert on the LSEG Change Framework, Clarity and related systems.
  • Lead the PMO function and manage the team on a day to day basis
  • Ensure project managers and PMOs are supported in adhering to all LSEG governance and internal processes (e.g. Change Framework, Clarity), and in doing so drive the adoption of best practice across all projects.
  • Act as roving problem solver / troubleshooter, proactively taking the lead in resolving systemic, portfolio level blockers that impact successful project delivery.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to support WFS portfolio delivery.
  • Provide a layer of project assurance, review, challenge and quality control across all projects in the portfolios.
  • Develop systems, processes, structures, procedures, and training to support effective and efficient portfolio delivery.
  • Driving the resolution of blockers, challenges and issues identified within Clarity
  • Oversee the portfolio from a resource management perspective, driving accurate resource allocation, demand and supply data to support resource optimisation.
  • Understand and manage risk within the portfolios, enforcing LSEG Group Standards for governance and risk management.
  • Guide project managers in preparation of project status reports, facilitating keeping management appraised of portfolio progress.
  • Manage and create visibility around the complete portfolio health and reporting, tracking and reducing delivery risk at a project and portfolio level.
  • Contribute to the overall development of the wider WFS Transformation function, taking ownership of shared deliverables where identified.

What You'll Bring:

  • Recent and direct experience as lead PMO within a Corporate Development environment
  • Extensive portfolio governance and management experience in high profile/high value Corporate Development activities
  • Experience in a high paced, multi-project WFS Transformation portfolio within an Engineering organisation of a similar scale to LSEG
  • High level of competence (Minimum of 2 years) working with the Clarity PPM tool, with demonstrated expertise in front end functionality.
  • Experience working across culturally diverse, geographically distributed, hybrid or remote working teams.
  • Senior stakeholder management skills, with direct experience reporting to Director level.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio financial processes (accounting knowledge highly desirable), including budgeting, forecasts, timesheets, purchase orders etc.
  • Exceptional understanding of the change management process / lifecycle and its practical application, including experience in both Waterfall and Agile environments.
  • Ability to multi-task yet prioritise among competing demands, wear multiple hats, and be both a "thinker" and a "doer".
  • High levels of emotional intelligence that enhance communication and collaboration.
  • Highly motivated, strong work ethic, proactive, self-starting attitude and the ability to work with limited direction and oversight to resolve issues.
  • Exceptionally strong attention to detail, with ability to dig deep into a problem to find root causes.
  • Strong process management skills - able to understand and coordinate complex organizational processes and consolidate input from multiple collaborators.
  • Fast learner, able to link diverse sources of information to our business including ability to handle confidential information and materials with appropriate discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to communicate findings in a compelling manner to internal and external audiences which include senior level executives.
  • Strong analytical capability, with ability to generate powerful insights and the communication skills required to make the numbers come alive by clearly conveying complex information in a way that supports decision making.
