Role Purpose:

The PMO Safety will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing safety initiatives across projects, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely, in compliance with regulations, and within agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain safety risk assessment programs for projects, including identification, analysis, and monitoring of safety risks.
  • Ensure compliance with internal S&HE (Safety, Health & Environment) policies and all relevant legal regulations.
  • Collaborate with project teams, management, operations, and other stakeholders to integrate safety requirements into all project phases.
  • Monitor safety performance indicators (KPIs) such as incidents, near misses, inspections, and audits, and provide periodic reports to management.
  • Develop and update safety strategies, procedures, and best practices, maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Coordinate internal and external safety audits, inspection readiness, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper allocation of resources for safety activities and follow up on implementation progress.
  • Manage the safety budget within projects, report on costs, and justify required safety investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in safety or HSE roles, preferably in complex or multinational projects.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational safety, health, and environmental legislation and regulations.
  • Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO 45001 are a strong plus.
  • Proven project coordination, planning, and risk management skills.
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Advanced English proficiency; additional languages are an advantage.
