The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire logistics process, including procurement, inventory, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring full compliance with legal and internal standards.︆︋︆︁︋︅︂︆︄︅︁︁︌︈︂︇︍︈︆︅︊︄︈︌︊︂
The role focuses on improving logistics performance, coordinating closely with production and suppliers to ensure material availability and timely deliveries. It also involves managing a logistics team, ensuring efficient task distribution and proper execution, while continuously seeking ways to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Oversees and optimizes end-to-end logistics processes including procurement, planning, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring full compliance with legal and internal standards, including IATF requirements.
Plans and monitors both inbound and outbound flows, supervises warehousing activities, coordinates goods labelling and routing, and ensures timely shipment processing.
Responsible to select carriers, negotiate transport contracts and rates to ensure favorable terms and reliable service, and continuously review logistics performance, seeking optimization through research into alternative shipping methods, routing strategies, and carrier options.
Collaborate actively with production team to ensure alignment between material availability and the production schedule, supporting timely execution of customer orders.
Communicate directly with customers, ensuring accurate order processing, timely deliveries, and rapid resolution of any delivery issues, always aiming to maximize customer satisfaction.
Responsible for procurement of raw materials, monitoring delivery timelines, and ensuring up-to-date records in the ERP system;
Ensure accurate goods receipt postings and actively track special, urgent, or delayed shipments.
Conducts regular meetings with direct reports to ensure alignment, provide guidance, and address operational needs; - Reviews the outcomes of work performed by colleagues from other departments whose activities may influence internal processes or impact finished and semi-finished products;
Ensures effective collaboration between team members and other departments to support the successful completion of tasks. Monitors working hours and ensures tasks are distributed fairly among employees, taking into account their skills, qualifications, and training;
Collaborates with the Human Resources department to maintain, update, and develop the database related to employee training and professional evaluations for those under his supervision;
Appropriate to the role, HSE responsibilities are incorporated into the job profile and the recruitment process;
Requirements::
Proven experience working within a production or manufacturing environment;
Ability to perform consistently in a fast-paced setting and under time-sensitive conditions;
Strong team player with a collaborative approach to achieving shared goals;
Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating relevant responsibilities and achievements;
In-depth understanding of the consumer goods industry and its operational dynamics;
Proficient in logistics and inventory management systems, with a solid grasp of relevant software tools;
