Project Controls/ Project Manager in Major Industrial projects

RoPower Nuclear SA is
the Romanian developer of Europe's first SMR (small modular reactor) nuclear power plant in Doicesti, Dambovita.

We are seeking a professional with substantial experience in large-scale industrial project management, capable of overseeing technical, regulatory, quality, cost, and schedule objectives. This position integrates responsibilities of both Project Controls and Project Management, being critical in the FEED (front-end-engineering design) phase and subsequent stages.

Responsibilities:

  • develop and implement processes, standards, and procedures to ensure alignment of scope, objectives, and deliverables;
  • plan, monitor, and control the project using
    Primavera P6
    and other project management tools;
  • track costs, budgets, and schedules, identify deviations, and implement corrective measures;
  • lead and coordinate employees and subcontractors' teams, ensuring project milestones are met;
  • validate, procure, and oversee delivery of equipment and materials;
  • provide regular reporting, reviews, and presentations to management;
  • drive continuous improvement initiatives, risk management, and optimization of project performance;
  • ensure compliance with industry regulations and
    Safety Culture
    policies;
  • conduct quality control and inspections, ensuring adherence to project standards.

Profile requirements:

  • bachelor's degree in Engineering;
  • minimum 10 years of experience in major industrial projects;
  • experience with contracts, project financing, and 3rd party relations;
  • proven track record in project management, including engineering, cost control, planning, and integration of contractual and commercial functions;
  • PMP certification preferred;
  • excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills;
  • strong knowledge of industry regulations and legal framework;
  • proficiency in MS Office and project management software;
  • fluent English;
  • integrity, proactivity, and strong attention to detail.
