Technical Sales Director
to take the lead in growing and managing our sales operations across
Hungary and Romania
. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving revenue, leading teams, and delivering customer value across multiple technical segments.
What You'll Be Doing:
As Technical Sales Director, you will lead and oversee performance across 8 core Technical Sales segments:
- GE Presales & Aftersales
- Trainings
- Garage Management Systems (GMS)
- Telecommunications (TELCO)
- Key Account Management – B2B & VIP
- Automotive Refinish (Coatings)
- Workshop Concepts & Fleets
- Service Tools and Diagnostics
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve business targets across HU/RO.
- Leading and optimizing the performance of sales and technical teams, including service technicians and promo specialists.
- Enhancing customer experience through the rollout of new tools and digital platforms (e.g., ProfiGarage, Telco Services, B2B VIP Tools).
- Expanding training portfolios through the LKQ Academy.
- Overseeing competitor analysis and reporting market intelligence to shape business strategy.
- Driving demand for services and managing unified service processes and documentation.
- Collaborating on recruitment and staff development in line with organizational goals.
- Providing regular reporting to regional and corporate leadership.
What You Bring to the Role:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma minimum; university degree in Business or Management preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales or a similar commercial role.
- Proven leadership and team development experience.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strategic thinker with a proactive, positive management style.
- Strong technical and analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Fluent in Romanian or Hungarian, and English (min. B2 level).
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, plus ERP and CRM systems.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driving license.
- Willingness to travel across the HU/RO region.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in international, matrixed environments.
