Your Future Role
Reporting to the VAT manager. The VAT Specialist is member of the EMEA VAT & Intrastat team located in Bucharest.

The VAT Specialist supports the monthly/quarterly/annual VAT and INTRASTAT compliance processes under the guidance of the VAT manager to ensure that VAT returns and reports and Intrastat statements, for the countries in scope, are filed timely and accurately.

Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Be Limited To

• Support the monthly/quarterly/annual VAT compliance processes for the countries in scope;
• Perform monthly postings and reconciliations of VAT accounts;
• Liaise with the AP/Accounting/Billing/Customs teams to ensure VAT compliance across all jurisdictions is accurate;
• Review of VAT returns allocated;
• Ensure internal & SOX controls are followed to guarantee the completeness, correctness, and security of key financial data;
• Provide consultancy to Business departments;
• Be involved, together with the VAT Manager, in fiscal audits;
• Develop VAT technical knowledge across all jurisdictions;
• Be involved in trainings and presentations to junior staff and to AP/ AR departments;
• Participate in projects to support the implementation of process improvements within your area of responsibility;
• Be involved in maintaining tax settings in SAP (related to business / legislation changes).

Experience
To Join Our Team, it will require you having:

• 2 - 4 years of experience in VAT or general and/or financial accounting, billing.
• Knowledge of SAP is a strong plus.

• You have a bachelor's degree in Accountancy and an affinity with VAT;
• You are proficient in English.
• You love to work very organized and consider yourself agile, reliable and a great planner.
• You have great communication skills and are a team player.
• You have good Excel skills and a problem-solving attitude
