Our client is a Romanian law firm (headquartered in Bucharest), with one of the top tax practices in the country. They regularly advise a wide range of companies, from emerging to mid-size to multinationals across a variety of industry sectors, including fast moving consumer goods, banking and finance, private equity funds, real estate, retail, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, energy or construction materials.

We are looking for a great
Tax Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Tax advisory services & Registration;
  • Tax structuring – Optimization of group structure and internal operations for tax purposes;
  • Tax reviews (due diligence reports, in-depth and red flag);
  • Assistance during tax inspections, including VAT reimbursements;
  • Tax litigation and tax appeals – our tax & litigation departments are well equipped to assist clients with all instances of tax litigation, from the administrative procedure and up to court representation.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as in-house lawyer or tax consultant;
  • Degree in accounting/finance/tax or any other related field OR a member of Bucharest Bar Association specialized in taxation;
  • Proficient in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with highly experienced business and tax professionals;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (focus on Excel).
