About The Position
We are looking for a Functional Test Engineer to join the Electronic Components, Propulsion team, reporting directly to the Electronic Units Engineering Manager.

This position is based at our office in Cluj-Napoca.

As the Functional Test Engineer at Marelli, you will be responsible to design, develop, and maintain manual/automated tests and frameworks for Propulsion Solutions products, ensuring the compliance with specific requirements and quality standards.

Your Responsibilities Will Be

• EOL Testing methodologies definition.
• Test HW definition (cables, loadboxes, communication tools…).
• Prototype and mass production testing flow definition.
• Product Test Program development and validation.
• Support industrialization and maintenance for all manufacturing plants (Italy, China, Slovak Republic, India, Brazil, USA).
• Automatic test equipment (ATE) systems design jointly with identified suppliers.
• Test coverage calculation.
• Adhere to strict compliance with laboratory regulations, safety guidelines, and industry standards throughout all activities.

What Qualifications You Will Bring

• Minimum level of education: Graduate of a higher education technical institution
• Desired level of education: Bachelor / Master's in electronic engineering, Computer Engineering, Automatics
• Automatic Test Equipment deep knowledge, including HW architecture, design with LXI / PXI instrumentation, conditioning boards.
• Experience in EOL testing within the electronics industry.
• Knowledge of test methodologies and measurements techniques.
• Understanding of electronic hardware components, testing methodologies, and industry standards.
• Understanding of electronic schematic and HW design.
• Programming languages for testing (LabVIEW, TestStand).
• Knowledge of Office package.
• Proactive approach, flexible; problem solving attitude.
• Written and spoken English language, B2 or higher.
• Good usage of lab standard instrumentation ( Oscilloscope , multi-meter,..) for manual testing activity.

• Presentation skills to convey medium/high complex technical concepts in an understandable manner to stakeholders or future customers.
• Possessing collaboration skills to effectively work inside a product development team.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey ideas, ask questions, and seek clarifications.
• Problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel abroad for short to medium periods (max 2-3 weeks).
