Company Overview
Tenneco is embarking on a transformative journey to enhance its Global Business Services. As part of this initiative, we are seeking an experienced Process Improvement Specialist to join our Record to Report team. This individual will play a vital role in standardizing and optimizing intracompany activities and processes within the Tenneco group.

Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing month-end closing processes, global reconciliation, and overseeing intercompany balances. Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the month-end closing process, including global reconciliation and investigating intercompany balances.
  • Oversight of intragroup accounting activities within global shared services centers, both captive and outsourced.
  • Responsible for intracompany accounting KPIs and implementing corrective actions to ensure process efficiency.
  • Standardizing processes across global shared services.
  • Monitoring the processing of intracompany invoices (accounts payable, recharges) and ensuring accurate GL postings to clean up aged intragroup open items.

Key Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting and minimum 8 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in monthly reporting under US GAAP. Relevant experience in intracompany transactions is mandatory. Advanced proficiency in using group reporting systems, SAP, and project management skills are desirable. Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus. Excellent English skills, problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and organizational skills are essential. Ability to influence business demands and present effectively is crucial.
