AI Legal Expert

Our organization is seeking a seasoned AI legal expert to spearhead our compliance and regulatory efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert legal counsel across various fields, including software development, licensing, corporate governance, and AI legislation.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in contract negotiation, strategic partnership management, and internal counsel guidance. You should possess in-depth knowledge of evolving regulatory frameworks, such as GDPR, EU AI Act, DORA, and US AI/tech regulations.

A successful applicant will demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills, exceptional contract drafting abilities, and the capacity to handle complex legal matters independently. A deep understanding of enterprise software licensing models, international projects, and large-scale partnerships is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice on diverse topics, including software development, licensing, corporate governance, and AI legislation.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements, including software licensing, strategic partnerships, and AI product terms.
  • Stay at the forefront of evolving regulatory frameworks and ensure compliance across jurisdictions and industries.
  • Lead contract structuring and negotiation with clients, authorities, and external counsel.
  • Advise internal teams on legal risks and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external legal counterparts and regulators worldwide.
  • Contribute to our legal operations by implementing best-in-class processes and documentation standards.

Requirements:

  • Licensed attorney or in-house legal counsel with 3–6 years of experience.
  • Proven ability to understand and respond to unique legal challenges in software development and cloud-based solutions.
  • Strong understanding of emerging global AI governance principles and regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with excellent contract drafting ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex matters independently and manage multiple stakeholders.
