The Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial and accounting operations in compliance with local regulations, fiscal requirements, and group standards. The role supports month-end closings, statutory reporting, and financial audits, while maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Please note that this is a fixed-term role for 2 years, with the possibility of extension. The position is a maternity leave replacement, offering the opportunity to gain valuable experience within an international environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and verify purchase and sales invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with VAT and e-invoicing requirements.
  • Manage accounting of fixed assets in line with local, fiscal, and group rules.
  • Perform account reconciliations (suppliers, customers, employee advances, general ledger balances).
  • Prepare and submit mandatory reports (SAFT, D394, Intrastat, monthly/quarterly/annual statistics).
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including adjustments and reclassifications under US GAAP.
  • Provide support during financial audits and annual inventory processes.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Credit & Collection, and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate records and payments.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects (system implementations, process improvements, legislative updates).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Solid knowledge of Romanian accounting and fiscal legislation.
  • Strong skills in SAP / S4 HANA and Excel.
