Job Description
As a Senior Field Application Engineer (FAE) at Infineon, you will take on a lead role within our Sales, Marketing, and Distribution (SMD) team in Romania, serving as the most experienced technical expert driving demand creation. Acting as the primary technical contact for our key automotive customers across Eastern Europe, you will support the full range of Infineon product solutions for their applications, from system design to evaluation. In your new role you will:

• Enable the development of modern electronic systems (EEA/SDV/ECU) and their implementation in the automotive market
• Be the first level technical contact for our key automotive customers in East-Europe, with a focus on the entire customer's automotive application placing all types of Infineon products
• Work proactively on innovative solutions for our customer's applications in collaboration with the entire European FAE Team, Account Management, product experts and different business lines
• Be the expert for Infineon product solutions in automotive applications, support our customers in their system design phase and during the evaluation of our products
• Analyze and translate customer's application and product requirements to foster future Infineon's products
• Discuss innovative solutions and application approaches with our customer development teams while collaborating with our design and concept engineering teams to drive optimized and new product solutions and technologies
• Validate the application on-site together with the customer
• Prepare and execute customer presentations and product / application training

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Information Technology or similar fields
• At least 5 years of professional experience within the semiconductor and automotive market
• Proven in-depth know-how in the area of embedded systems (analog / digital)
• Specific knowledge about Automotive Applications and Electronic Systems
• Strong drive, pro-active and autonomous behavior
• Good analytical skills and strong ability to solve complex problems
• Experience in giving technical guidance and mentoring others
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Openness for regular business travels in Romania and other European destinations from time to time
• Excellent Romanian and English communication and presentation skills
• Proven business impact generation
