Digital Rights Management (DRM) Engineer – Microsoft 365 / Azure
, you will manage and maintain the Microsoft-based DRM service in a major automotive
supplier
, ensuring that the protection mechanisms securing the distribution and consumption of digital media in the O365 environment operate at the required standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DRM technologies, external providers management, and a deep understanding of Microsoft Information Protection mechanisms.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the DRM service (Microsoft-based)
  • Implement and manage M365 E5 Information Protection and Governance, including administration of the Central Key Management solution (Azure Key Vault Managed HSM)
  • Design and deploy Microsoft Purview Information Protection architecture concepts
  • Troubleshoot and resolve DRM-related issues with specialists, external partners, and vendors, ensuring minimal service disruption
  • Oversee data lifecycle management and archiving, monitor and analyze encryption protocols and events
  • Manage Sensitivity Labels and Sensitive Information Types (SIT)
  • Implement improvements and changes to the DRM solution to protect digital content across platforms and devices
  • Maintain documentation for DRM configurations, processes, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and content protection standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Digital Rights Management, content protection, or related roles
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Purview Information Protection (encryption, licensing, key management)
  • Knowledge of DRM standards, protection mechanisms, and encryption algorithms
  • Experience with Azure Key Vault Managed HSM
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell and Python
  • Relevant certifications in DRM or content protection (a plus)
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Very good English (written and spoken), minimum B2
  • Working style: reliable, meticulous, analytical, autonomous, with initiative, creative, team-oriented, service-oriented
