Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We're looking for a Database Admin Specialist to join our ever-evolving Merchant Solutions Oracle DBA team and help us unleash the potential of every business.

What you'll own as the Database Admin Specialist

Merchant Solutions Oracle DBA team provides first line & second line support to Worldpay Merchant Solutions Acquiring Platform. The Acquiring Platform is responsible for the clearing, reporting and settlement of transactions to our customers and card schemes. It also provides a front-end for Operations to manage our customers and interacts with third parties to process disputed transactions.

Your responsibilities will be

  • 1st and 2nd line support for database administration activities of Production, Pre Production (PPE) and Test/Development Oracle database environments.
  • Database & SQL tuning
    for performance improvements.
  • Execution plan stability & improvements.
  • Database & SQL performance monitoring
  • Manage databases on Exadata based environments.
  • Support database component for application releases, patching and upgrades.
  • Manage database backup & recovery, Database security, High availability & Data replication.
  • On call & weekend support on rotation basis.

What you'll bring

  • At least 10 years of experience managing database, more recently on Oracle 19c supporting database scaling to multi TB.
  • Performance tuning
    of Oracle databases & SQL
  • Good relationship building skills.
  • Experience in supporting Oracle container databases.
  • Experience in OEM.
  • Oracle GoldenGate experience.
  • Experience in database security in particular TDE & usage of wallets.
  • Expertise in managing multi-site high availability and disaster recovery solutions – RAC & Dataguard
  • Linux – RHEL and OEL.

It's a bonus if you have

  • Exadata experience
  • Experience of managing database on AWS
  • Experience with Oracle databases on Delphix
  • Payment domain experience.
