Front - End Developer

In this role, you work closely with the product management team in Zurich and cooperate with the offshore development teams. You have a functional understanding of the banking domain, its products, processes, and business practices and ideally, first-hand knowledge of technology-based investment or advisory platforms.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance frontend applications using React, React Router, React Query, and TailwindCSS
• Implement modular frontend architecture, leveraging for component management
• Work with GraphQL and RESTful APIs, integrating backend services efficiently
• Ensure the development of scalable, high-performance, accessible, and mobile-friendly web applications
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate Figma designs
• Pay attention to details, accessibility and UX
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, following best practices
• Implement unit and integration tests using Jest, Storybook Interaction, Mocha, Vitest, or React Testing Library
• Optimize frontend performance and modern web application techniques.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and agile development practices
• Work closely with backend developers to ensure smooth integration of APIs

Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 4 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in React development

Strong proficiency in:

• ReactJS (React Router, React Query)
• JavaScript (ES6+)
• HTML, CSS, and TailwindCSS
• State management and caching with React Query

• Git for version control

• Experience in building modular frontends and working with component-driven development

• Deep understanding of GraphQL and RESTful API integration
• Strong knowledge of progressive modern web application stacks and optimization techniques
• Experience in Figma to UI development, focusing on responsiveness and accessibility
• Solid experience with unit and integration tests using Jest, Storybook Interaction, Mocha, Vitest, or React Testing Library
• Familiarity with software development principles like KISS, DRY, SOLID, and GRASP

Nice to Have (Preferred):

• Experience with micro frontend architecture
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools
• Experience with for component sharing
• Understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban
• Experience in building flexible, reusable and extendable libraries for other developers

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
• Attention to detail and a strong focus on UI/UX and mobile-friendly design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment and contribute to technical discussions
