The Mission

As an ops engineer you look after the availability, reliability of the Cyber Fraud Prevention supporting applications. The impact of what you are responsible for is immense. The field evolves fast and staying up-to-date and eercising technical leadership to help the organisation stay at the forefront is of paramount importance.

The squad operates 100% based on internally developed (Python/Java/.NET) applications and services.

Your day-to-day

• Supporting internal customers and troubleshooting critical production issues across platforms and applications as required;
• Providing the evidence to cover the required risk controls;
• Carrying out production deployments, identifying and patching bugs and reducing inefficiencies;
• Building and maintaining monitoring and reporting frameworks as well as tools used to streamline and automate tasks throughout the platform lifecycle; eg: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack;
• Creating and facilitating automated workflows;
• Creating automated build and deployment process based on the CD/CI tools provided in the Azure DevOps and using internal private cloud (VMs and OpenShift);
• Doing pipeline as a code with YAML;
• Working with various technologies including, but not limited to Ansible, Python, RHEL, Kibana, Oracle database, Azure DevOps tools, OpenShift/Docker

What you'll bring to the team

• Being accurate in managing the IT related compliancy and risk controls;
• Being accurate in documenting and following procedures;
• Being able to discuss incidents, changes and IT risk & compliance procedures with eternal vendors, different teams in ING;
• Having 2-3+ years eperience in an Ops/DevOps/TechOps/SRE role;
• Having a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred;
• Being fluent in English language;
• Nice to have
• Working in LINU environments (sysadmin, patching, debugging);
• Having eperience with modern CI/CD tools;
• Having eperience with modern Monitoring Tooling like Prometheus and ElasticStack;
• Having eperience with Oracle Database is nice to have.
