Job Description
OBJET: The service falls within the scope of engineering studies for the MASELA project. We are seeking an experienced piping engineer for our client in oil&gas. PROFIL: Engineering degree in Piping, strong expertise in the design, layout, and coordination of piping systems for large-scale industrial projects (Oil & Gas, chemical, energy, etc.). A recognized technical leader capable of managing design teams and ensuring high-quality deliverables while meeting project standards, budget, and deadlines. MISSIONS: Activities will be to supervise ICE in ROMANIA, which is in charge of the hull design. Follow up of piping & layout studies : 3D, quantity management (MTO, BOQ), interface with Topside, interface with others disciplines (ELE, INS, STR, EQP). Reporting to Hull Saipem Piping lead: - Ensure the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfilment of project quality requirements and contractual obligations. - Analyze technical documents (e.g. specifications, calculation notes, drawings) to assess the scope of the studies required and the potential risks. - Seek solutions which can bring overall savings to the project. - Develop the Piping and Layout methodologies / Design basis /design guidelines. - Review project technical documents to validate consistency between the budget, resources for the work completion and the targets to be met. - Define and follow-up the planning of resources mobilization. - Monitor and report actual progress including 3D / check for Discipline activities, including control of man-hours and delivered documents. - Estimate quantities or validate estimation done by other specialists of the team. - Check all produced documents like design reports, technical specifications, drawings under responsibility. - Attend to internal review activities and inter-discipline check meetings. - Participate in Client Design and model reviews and provide resolution for client comments. - Supervise the writing of specifications and requisitions as well as technical bid evaluations. - Provide technical support to Procurement, Subcontracting and Construction activities SKILLS: - Shall have minimum experience in 2EPC project execution in Oil & Gas projects. - Experience in FPSO Hull design & Navel is mandatory. - Knowledge of BV standards code. - English language: able to understand, write technical specifications and participate to clarification meeting with Company and/or Vendors. - Software : Aveva E3D
