System Application Engineer – Motor Control Solutions

Job Description
As a System Application Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and testing applications centered on Infineon's Motor Control integrated circuits for Go2Market activities. You will work on hardware-software integration, competitor analysis, and prepare technical materials to ensure successful product launches.

In your new role you will:

• Define and develop reference applications based on Infineon products, targeting thermal management and seat/door automotive modules
• Implement schematic designs and develop PCB layouts highlighting the key features offered by the Infineon products while optimizing system performance
• Integrate and develop embedded SW for Infineon or ARM-based microcontrollers in order to operate and monitor the reference applications
• Perform testing and validation of the designed hardware and create technical customer documentation, such as user manuals and application notes, based on the validation results.
• Contribute to the creation of design-In material for the market launch of Infineon products, including system demonstrators
• Actively support internal feasibility studies at the system level and perform analysis of competitor products
• Prepare technical trainings intended for internal and external sales partners and customers

Your Profile
You are a motivated engineer with solid expertise in automotive electronics and motor control. You approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively. Your attention to detail and eagerness to learn drive your success in cross-functional teams.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A university degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in a technical role as an electronic circuit design, validation or application engineer
• Solid work experience with gate driver applications for DC and BLDC motors and with microcontrollers for automotive applications
• Solid expertise in PCB design and layout – prior experience with Altium Designer required
• Good knowledge of embedded C programming and good overall programming skills (C/C++, MATLAB, Python)
• Experience with circuit simulation tools - SPICE, SIMULINK
• Excellent knowledge of electronic laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.)
• Excellent command of the English language
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and to provide guidance based on your expertise
