Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in technical field;
  • Minimum 2 years of similar experience in the automotive field;
  • Work experience in painting/laser technology;
  • Knowledge of production planning and tracking is an advantage;
  • Well-organized, spontaneous person with initiative;
  • Ability to work in a global team;
  • Well-developed communication skills;
  • Technical analysis and solution finding skills;
  • Good communication skills in English, German is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Researching (standardized) production equipment solutions and developing new or modifying existing equipment designs;
  • Specifying or designing, developing, and implementing mechanical equipment and tools or software for mechanical equipment and tools (e.g., machinery, machine attachments, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, etc.);
  • Overseeing the installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment and associated processes to optimize utilization, uptime and production yield;
  • May liaise with and conduct training for the technology transfer and production groups on new equipment and associated processes;
  • May include project management;
  • Reviewing the technology process lifecycle with the end goal of producing tangible goods as efficiently as possible with less wastage and a shorter end-to-end process cycle;
  • Determines the process parameters to be used for equipment in a variety of areas such as electronics, single part composition and a variety of assembly technologies.
