VTU Engineering
is an internationally oriented engineering company operating in the design of chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology plants.

For our subsidiary in Romania / Ploiesti and Bucharest, we are looking for professionals who are interested in plant engineering. From the beginning you will work as a team member in our project teams. The position is subordinated to the Piping and Mechanical Department Manager and there are no subordinates responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Piping design activities for projects and studies in various development stages: concept design, basic design, detailed design
  • Perform preliminary design of steel constructions as input for civil and structural designers
  • Input for bidding documents
  • Preparation of specifications for piping, steel structures, equipment etc.
  • Work together with subcontractors in line with related disciplines, and ensure work is executed according to project specific requirements
  • On-site activities like P&ID Checks and measurements
  • Elaboration of cost estimations and tender documents
  • Interactions with clients, vendors, constructors

Qualifications:

  • At least Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or similar
  • Autocad 2D and 3D is mandatory
  • Proven work experience in piping engineering & 3D modelling (preferably Autodesk Plant 3D, Aveva E3D)
  • Knowledge of any design software is an advantage (Cadworx, Smart Plant 3D, etc.)
  • Knowledge of relevant piping and installation codes, standards and design methods
  • Proven understanding of materials, insulation and corrosion issues
  • Project engineering skills and working within budget and schedule
  • Fluent in Romanian and English in speaking and writing
  • High flexibility and willingness to travel
  • Independent and responsible to work within a team and to lead sub-teams
  • Analytical thinking with interpersonal skills
  • Strong will for personal and company development
