Overview:

TwentyAI's customer is a global provider of financial data and infrastructure, supporting markets and risk functions across multiple regions. The regulatory team delivers high-quality data solutions that underpin regulatory reporting, capital calculations, and internal risk monitoring.

The successful candidate will join a small Bucharest-based engineering team, working alongside strong engineers in both Bucharest and London. You will focus on building and optimising data pipelines and services in Snowflake, with opportunities to contribute to new features on existing systems and potentially greenfield projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and optimise data pipelines with Python, SQL, and Snowflake (including Snowpipes and Snowpark).
  • Drive ingestion of data into Snowflake and ensure FinOps optimisation.
  • Lead technical delivery, including code reviews and best practice promotion (BDD/TDD).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business needs.
  • Contribute to product resilience and ongoing feature development.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in data engineering.
  • Strong background in Snowflake with hands-on experience of ingestion and optimisation.
  • Proficiency in Python; SQL skills a strong bonus.
  • Experience building data pipelines and processing workflows.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of DBT and Airflow.
  • Experience with capital markets or financial risk (not essential).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in distributed teams.
