As a Database Administrator – eTerra Systems Focus, you will:
  • Design, implement, and manage high-availability database systems aligned with specific user roles and business needs.
  • Build and maintain robust databases for mission-critical applications, including those supporting eTerra systems.
  • Define and manage user access rights, ensuring appropriate data distribution in the correct format and timeframe.
  • Perform regular backups and apply high-speed transaction recovery techniques to ensure data continuity.
  • Optimize performance by minimizing database downtime, tuning parameters, and ensuring rapid query responses.
  • Support users proactively and reactively with data management needs, including training and troubleshooting.
  • Regularly test and evaluate data security, privacy, and integrity protocols.
  • Enforce and document database policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor performance and apply patches, upgrades, and version changes as required.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • 5+ years of experience in database administration, preferably with exposure to systems supporting energy or SCADA platforms like eTerra.
  • Strong expertise in designing, implementing, and managing relational databases.
  • Proven experience in ensuring database availability, security, and data integrity.
  • Familiarity with transaction recovery, performance tuning, and system optimization.
  • Ability to work with high-volume, high-availability environments with minimal downtime.
  • Knowledge of user role definition, access control, and data distribution policies.
You should possess the ability to:
  • Configure and manage complex databases with high performance and scalability.
  • Communicate effectively with users, developers, and infrastructure teams to support evolving requirements.
  • Analyze issues quickly and implement reliable, timely solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation on standards, procedures, and configurations.
  • Stay updated with the latest database trends, patches, and best practices.
