  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Applied Networking, Telecom, Electronics, Cybernetics, or other degrees with applicable experience.

What you'll be doing

Operational (incl. Planning)

  • Ensure the physical design of the databases, the creation and maintenance of databases assigned to development, testing, training and production activities
  • Manages the database: objects, tables, clusters, index, view sites, sequences, packages and procedures
  • Provide design and database code standards in conformity of integrity, security and performance
  • Provides databases fine-tuning and trouble shooting, applications and related development tools
  • Assist and provide impact assessments in terms of any changes to be made of the database
  • Assess and install new instruments and releases, ensuring that databases function optimally
  • Involvement in transversal projects requiring support for databases creation
  • Plan capacity, the creation and databases maintenance, working with system administrators
  • Plans, creates and implements policies for backup and recovery, security, the creation and management of database users
  • Write requirements, technical documents for database maintenance and non-technical documents for internal support Reporting
  • Prepares on demand reports about the systems and services under his administration

What you need to know/have

Professional Knowledge:

  • RDBMS Administrating (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server)
  • Develop SQL/PLSQL scripts at shell level
    • Linux/Unix commands, shell scripting
  • Database management systems
  • Infrastructure tools
  • English language-fluent Nice to have: Automation & Orchestration tools (ex: Rundeck, Ansible, Puppet etc) Alert & Monitoring tools (OEM, ELK Stack, CheckMK, Grafana, Prometheus etc) Soft skills:
