ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a leading international consulting company specializing in real estate, infrastructure, and industrial sector solutions. With headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany, they operate in over 60 locations worldwide and have a team of approximately 6,000 employees.

They are recognized for their innovative approach to sustainability and digitalization, offering cost-effective and future-oriented solutions tailored to the specific needs of their clients.

PROJECT DETAILS

Design and implement the semantic model should support continuous deployment and include development, test, and production environments. It should significantly improve upon the existing SQL views used in the on-premises SSAS cube. Initially, the model will include a limited number of SQL tables to demonstrate the potential of utilizing Microsoft Fabric for semantic modeling within the Ministry of Tourism's data landscape.

Within the project we have a product owner from the business who has 2 to 3 team members. The business is responsible for priorities, requirements and next releases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop end-to-end BI solutions in Microsoft Fabric

Analyze and design Business Intelligence solutions in Power BI

Collaborate with other teams and departments to create and enhance reporting applications

SKILLS

  • Strong expertise in Power BI and Fabric
  • Proficient in DAX, able to build complex data models
  • Skilled in data analysis, data migration scripts, data conversion, transformation, and query optimization
  • Experienced in historization and versioning of data
  • Able to troubleshoot Power BI performance issues and optimize memory usage
  • Familiar with ticket-based workflows (e.g. Jira, Scrum)
  • Strong in validating data transformations, comparing KPIs across versions, and detecting inconsistencies
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, passion for data
  • Able to work independently and under pressure
  • Fluent in English (Spanish or German is a plus)
