Accountant IFN

About the Role

EOS Finance IFN SA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our Finance Department. The primary goal of this role is to ensure the quality, accuracy, and compliance of financial accounting activities. This includes managing financial operations, adhering to accounting principles, resolving issues, and contributing to financial reporting and oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
• Accurately record financial transactions and control the accuracy of all entries.
• Manage both general and specific accounting activities and prepare financial reports.
• Monitor the loan portfolio in accordance with IFRS 9 (including provisions, insurance, and other specific elements).
• Participate in regular closing and reporting processes, including preparing financial statements and handling related audit procedures.
• Provide support for other accounting activities as needed.

Key Performance Indicators

• Accuracy of accounting processes.
• Timely submission of reports.

Qualifications

• Degree in Economics.
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in financial accounting; previous experience in a non-banking financial institution (IFN) or bank is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards (IFRS 9, IFRS 16, IAS 21).
• In-depth understanding of financial accounting legislation, including BNR regulations specific to IFNs.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and other relevant tools; experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
• Proficiency in English is an advantage.
