Sustainability Specialist Staff

The Sustainability Specialist Staff will be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with sustainability knowledge.
This position contributes to our company-wide strategic sustainability efforts by analyzing data and learning to use sustainability tools to guide our sustainability initiatives with the goal of ensuring that the company's sustainability efforts enhance business performance and supports the long-term interests of the company.
The incumbent will be responsible for research and summarizing information on competitors, peers, industry and sustainability topics - Preparing initial responses to customer requests under supervision. He/She will problem-solve, while building knowledge on assigned sustainability focus areas. This role will also be responsible for developing and tracking key metrics on Goodyear's sustainability performance.

What You'll Do
- Develop in-depth knowledge of assigned sustainability focus areas (e.g., energy, natural rubber, reporting).
- Conduct research and summarize findings on sustainability topics, competitors, peers, and industry benchmarks.
- Support the collection, development, and tracking of Goodyear's key sustainability performance metrics.
- Prepare initial responses to customer requests and sustainability-related questionnaires under supervision.
- Participate in problem-solving initiatives and learn continuous improvement methodologies.
- Learn and potentially pursue certifications in sustainability tools and methodologies (e.g., life cycle assessment, materiality assessments, reporting, energy/water management).
What You'll Bring
- 1+ year of experience in sustainability or a related field (internships/co-ops included).
- Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, business, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive approach to learning new sustainability concepts and tools.
