Job Description
Oracle Customer Success Services – Consulting Deparment - Expert Service is looking for high skilled senior technology consultant, specialized in DB technologies & collaterals (Real Application Cluster, Grid Infrastructure, ASM Tuning, Security, Replication etc), with good potential to join the expert service projects delivery team. Candidates should be self-motivated who can work as part of a team or operate independently in customer facing roles. Cloud expertise is also required.

Role Purpose
An experienced consulting professional who has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks requiring independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Ability to travel as required.

Understand Oracle Cloud Database (DBCS) solution and promote its functionalities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Installing/configuring/provision Oracle database on Premise or On Cloud
• Define Private Cloud Database solutions as well as Public Cloud Database services.
• Database and application performance monitoring/tuning.
• Define and deliver replication configurations (like Goldengate etc)
• Deliver workshops about tuning, security, administration of Oracle Database environments
• Implement High Availability Architecture (Grid Infrastructure, Clusterware, Real Application Cluster, Dataguard, GridControl)
• Environment cloning.
• Production monitoring/issue resolution.
• Upgrading Oracle databases to newer versions (e.g. 10g to 11g to 12c to 19c to 23ai).
• Providing technical oversight in implementation and commissioning phases.
• Taking the lead in client relations, as appropriate, ensuring correct expectation setting.
• Works alongside Partners and other third party organizations as required.
• Interacts with and works alongside the Client team, at customer site as/when required.
• Works towards a utilization target, and with nominated clients.
• May lead a team of junior consultants depending on situation.
• Proactively build and maintain confidence of clients and colleagues.
• May support business development activities or participate on multiple projects at the same time.
• Define various technical architecture based on customer needs
• Troubleshoot problems on various layers of the application and infrastructure. Provide internal analysis and support.
• Enhance and maintain existing environment(s) capacity and capabilities.

Professional Knowledge / Skills:

• Experience in Architecture governance processes and conducting Architecture reviews and evaluations
• Very strong Oracle Database 11g-12c-19c administration skills.
• High experience with setup, maintenance, monitor and troubleshooting of Oracle RAC and Oracle Dataguard.
• Security, Logging, Auditing, Policy Management and Performance Monitoring for Database processes
• Reasonable programming skills (plsql, java, C++)
• Strong Oracle Database performance monitoring/tuning experience.
• Oracle database upgrade experience.
• Experience with other Oracle products, like Oracle eBusiness Suite, Oracle Identity Management, Oracle SOA/OSB, Oracle WebCenter, is a plus.
• Good UNIX & Linux systems experience.
• Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into architectural solutions
• Ability to lead/work independently and make independent judgments
• Attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough testing.
• Overall analytical skills and ability to pickup new technical skills quickly
• Strong Initiative.
• Ability to adapt/adjust to the environment quickly.
• Self-motivated; driven to achieve aggressive goals and meet deadlines
• Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal & Written).
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Ability to pick up new skills quickly.
• Strong Customer engagement experience.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education and Experience Bachelor's or Master degree in Computer Science, Business or related discipline
• 10 years of working experience with Oracle Database
• 5+ Years Oracle DBA on High Production Systems
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
• Support of large production systems with 100+ users on a 24x7 basis.
